| Description |
This walk has excellent views of Glen Tanar and over the Dee Valley including Aboyne. There are some moderately steep sections - both up and down. Two small streams are crossed by fords. The walk starts to the east of The Guard, and goes into Glen Tanar, skirting round the Black Craig and Red Craig. The return route follows the north side of Craigendinnie, and catches the Fungle (an ancient Mounth crossing from Tarfside to Deeside) to Aboyne, for tea and scone. |
