| Description |
.
Last year, Active Aboyne ran a very successful navigation course over one weekend. We gather that a number of people would have liked to come had the course been spread over two weekends - so this year, we are meeting that demand.
This two-day course - which runs on two consecutive Saturday's in September - looks at developing your map reading and compass skills. These are essential to enable you to explore the countryside and mountains further - and to increase you confidence and independence. Becoming reliable in route finding opens up new doors to new worlds!
The objectives of the NNAS Bronze Award are:- navigation in the countryside using paths, tracks and other linear features; basic map interpretation; and compass work.
