| Description |
Fully qualified Scottish Canoe Association coaches are offering to take out on the trout loch at Glen Tanar, eight novices to kayaking, and eight novices to canoeing, to learn the basics of handling their craft! This is a beautiful setting, which is not normally open to the general public, and we are told that there is bound to be water there, even if Deeside enjoys a dry summer and the Dee has little water in it! The modern kayak is a small boat based on those used by Eskimos, with a covered deck and a cockpit covered with a spray deck. It is powered by the kayaker's use of a paddle - which is usually double bladed. This event is run for us by Adventure Aberdeen. |
