This summer, Di Gilbert will join the masses of climbers on a mission to climb the highest mountain in Europe – Elbrus. Many of the climbers will be climbing simply because “it is there”, but Di will continue with her unintentional aim of climbing all of the Seven Summits – the highest mountain on each of the continents. However, unlike the majority of people who are just starting off on this amazing journey, Di will be grinning all the way to the top knowing that Elbrus will be her final seven summit. With a climbing and mountaineering career spanning nearly 20 years, Di will talk about the adventures she has had, which have seen her stand on the bottom of the world without falling off and standing on the top of the world without suffering from vertigo.
