The
area between Lary and Gairnshiel holds many historically interesting
sites from ruined buildings associated with the mid-18th century
Catholic Ascendancy in the area up to those abandoned more recently.The area also featured in the childhood of Amy Stewart Fraser as described in her book 'The Hills of Home'. Underfoot: estate roads and footpaths. Bring refreshments and packed lunch in rucksack. This walk is led by David Coleman who is a member of Scotland’s Rural Past.
